Good Morning...
Didn't get much sleep last night-- trying to get things in order for the week. Do you ever get on a KICK of using (and maybe abusing) something or a technique in your scrapbooking/crafting? You can't finish a layout with adding a little bit here or there. Lets see--let me think back over the years--there's been
- glass beads
- all things gingham (still LOVE it)
- inking
- buttons (no page is FINISHED with out a couple, right?)
- tearing
- ribbon (oh, who am I kidding...I'm still on that one:)
- kraft cardstock
...oh and so many more I don't think I can even think of them all!!
RIGHT NOW--
its GLITTER GLUE. I mean, shouldn't we add sparkle with any means we have! Just a dab'll do ya!
PAPER & RIBBON FLOWERS...check out Candice's blog for a simple tutorial on the ribbon flower.
Felt...only real wool felt, of course :) So nice.
Can you tell I'm getting "in the mood" for Valentine's Day?
So WHAT IS YOUR THING, right now?? What are you hooked on?? Pray tell, I might need to jump on the wagon WITH YOU!
Speaking of jumping on the wagon-- I got the best idea from Donna--have you watched the Leah & Johanna's videos? Well, cute Donna stopped in and video'd with them and she was talking about a CARD BUFFET. How cool is that? You'll just have to watch and let Donna tell about it. Anyhoo-- I think I'm going to try that with some friends this weekend. I love the idea and think it will be a fun, no stress way to CREATE and hang with friends.
Have a great week! Love to all...jw

You are too sweet! Thanks for the compliment!!! I just did the card buffet at the Unforgettable Crop for Kids Charity event on Saturday! It was a blast! I'll be posting a few photos on my blog when I'm done blog surfing! P.S. You were my first stop!
Hugs ~D~

A card buffet sounds so FUN!
Your list of things is so great, I would have to think about what some of my things were/are, but sewing always seems to stay with me!
And can't even bend my head around getting prepped for the next holiday, LOL!

I think that it would be SO FUN...I am going to borrow her idea for a class I am going to do...but, in my Trailer Park Style..I am going to call it a Card "Pot Luck" & ask everybody to bring a little somthing to share...
so, can I come to your buffet this weekend?
p.s...I met Donna this weekend and she is so nice and funny and cute and funky! AND...she taught me how to make those super cool paper flowers...I went today and cut 100 scallop flowers for a little project-o....

I'm with you on the glitter glue...I've got stickles on everything it seems.
You make the felt look fun but I can't seem to make that work for me. I should try it I guess! Then I'll be hooked and I'll be cursing your name...

Have to say I really do love kraft cardstock. I love all kinds of lettering (ie chipboard, quickutz, sizzix, HS Ghost letters etc). I could go on and on. I LOVE color and I have this huge obsession that everything has to match!! :-)
