Valentine for everybody! [printable freebie]

V day is in just two more days...are you ready?

Well, with my crazy schedule, I'm readier than I would normally be at this time, usually, I'm helping the kids with their love notes the night before. And we almost always make them, of course!

Sara and Cash made this fun heart with legos...Cash added his name this morning.

So I made a quick Lego Valentine for him with a snap of him holding the heart...

I had to make some Valentines for our Graphic Design club fundraiser-- and I'm pretty sure none of the college kids lurk here...so for my friends I'm gonna let you download one! YAY!

The big frame is a custom print I'm offering- for $25 framed 8 x 10 print on high quality photo rag art paper. Email me if you are interested. I can have these ready for locals on Valentines Day...also great for weddings, anniversaries, etc.

This is a 5 x 7 inch pdf. You can print these on your photo printer for a beautiful result. My advice: use good photo paper for best results. I always keep matte paper handy for these projects. You can resize to 4 x 6 if you like. If you like the number print in the image above, you can purchase a similar one here on Etsy...I took hers as inspiration for some personal projects.

Sew love to #make

Last summer I had a bit of time and I wanted to sew. More than that, a few other people had told me they wanted to sew. It was a blessing of spending some time with some friends, old and new...we sewed into the weeeeee hours at several different classes! One of our projects was this:

...a sweet pleated/ruffled pillow cover. I wanted to show the gals how to sew a simple pillow cover and embellish it at the same time. I love my linen cover with bright contrasting strips of ruffles. Precious! I was so proud of the pillows the ladies turned out.

I thought I'd share this tutorial with you since I had typed it up for the class-goers. I don't have step by step images to go with the instructions but I tried to explain well and include visuals. This is a beginner level project. Hope you enjoy!

Appreciate your teachers! FREE printable note card

It's that time of year again, time to do something sweet for your child's teacher. We do lots of personalized goodies at the store, stationery, acrylic cups, totes and so many fun things.  So here's a little card you can add to your gift.  I used these a couple of years ago and make packs of 10 or 20 personalized with Abby's teacher's names on them. Teachers always need fun stationery, right?

These print two to a sheet and you can add your teacher's name or put "THANK YOU" on it...personalize it however you like. The pdf is blank...no name included. If you're not savvy with Word or PS you can handwrite, stamp or add stickers to it.

NOTE:  You may have to set your printer settings to "BORDERLESS" in order to print this as is on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet.  You can print on plain or textured cardstock but these look FANTASTIC printed on bright white presentation paper like this Epson brand.

Can you tell I'm out of school...

Oh how I've loved a small taste of freedom the last few days.  The kids were back to school Monday and I've yet a few more precious days till my college mama grind starts anew.  I'm excited for a new set of classes and yet enjoying just creating for the sake of creating.  Working on some "wanna do" projects- calendars, chore charts and fun stuff.  Thats a fun perk of my job at Inscriptions-- I get to do some pretty creative stuff, these started out as calendars that were going to be printed on paper, but I laminated a couple for me and well...they are 8 x 10 personalized dry erase calendars now!

I love calendars.  Long time "wanna do" was to create a binder type planner that you could print, add to, customize.  I actually started that with these calendars a while ago and hopefully time will come when I can finish. 

Made this fun thing for Cash yesterday...

He had fun checking his list and getting a reward for a job well done!  I just realized I forgot "pick up toys!" LOL!

Happy Fourth!!! {don't miss the freebie&giveaway!}

Well, last week was a super duper busy one and culminated in a fun time last night watching the city fireworks show from our back yard!  It was awesome and I didn't take one good picture!  LOL!  But I just sat and enjoyed it...thats worth something, right!  We gathered with good food, a few good friends and a had a great time. I must admit...I've been waiting it out for today..looking forward to a little R&R.  Or at least some time to do something I wanted...or nothing at all. 

The girls had fun face painting last night and it turned out to be a fun idea!  Here's Cash with his "flame job!"  LOL!

Rather than being too lazy, I ended up doing something today...of course!  Scott has been pickling everything that will fit into a Mason jar!!!  LOL!  We both decided it should just be a lazy day to just do what we want...I even toyed with the idea of doing some yardwork and HE of all people talked me out of it.  Probably should be working on my Algebra, but just as any true procrastinator would...I came up with something much more pressing.  I worked on making some birthday gifts for a few friends and family.  I've been printing up a storm!!!  These...

Loved this gorgeous photo of my paper cones I created for a recent issue of Scrapbooks etc. magazine...back inside cover :)  They mentioned them for use as May Day baskets!  So sweet!  They created an awesome tutorial and printable design from my creation!  So fun!  How could they NOT be -- all that lovely Bella Blvd. paper!!!  PRETTY!!  You can use these fun cones for so many different uses:

Notecards...

One more day of school for mine after today.  YAY SUMMER!!!  The girls gave me some input on these fun notecards we came up with for teacher gifts. I was just thinking my kids will have a fun time writing Grandma and Aunt Jenny this summer with these too!  I'll never forget when I was little and my Aunt Linda would play pen pal with me...loved how she snuck sticks of gum into those envelopes...ahhh, good memories :)
