Something for YOU...

Tree_card_4

In honor of the coming season, I wanted to share a card idea that I just love.  If you know me, you know my LOVE for circle punches of ALL sizes!!  Well, thats just about all there is to this card.  Oh, and the tree design (see below)...you can actually print this on black cardstock to make things easy!  (click on the image to see the full size image in better detail :)

Download tree.psd

So gather up kraft and black cardstock, a manila folder (to print the various words onto), some orange, green, and gold scraps of paper, and your black pen.  Oh and you'll need a circle punch-- THESE are my favorites.  I'm pretty sure you can figure out the rest!!  If you don't like doodling (like on the circles) --you can stamp them with your favorite doodly, swirly stamps!!

So anyway--just thought I would share this simple idea.  Have fun-- make some cards this weekend!

Making some additions...

Just adding a few photos to my albums tonight.  I created a new album-- SKETCHES.  These are from past classes.  I have fun doing these.  I like using them too!  Takes the brainwork (or some of it) out of creating/designing the pages.  So hope you guys might get some use from them!  Here's one just to show you--you can find more in the sketches album to the right...

And this is the layout I made from the class...

Papers are Scenic Route, Glitterz and Gingham Ribbonz from Junkitz (Teresa Collins), and Heidi's Journaling Spots...very simple!

Have FUN! jw

Just playing!

Chillininthepool  Its been a long time since I've just been able to play.  Be creative without a purpose...or a mission.  Tonight I was working on some stuff and one thing led to another and I started playing with creating a digital page.  I could really get hooked on the digi stuff.  Its pretty simple...I'm a beginner...keep that in mind, but I will share anyhoo! I had fun doing it.

Some photos of Cash's first swim...so cute!  Sara is such a great big sister...she is always wanting to help.  Its nice to have a bit of a relief now and then.  She can make Cash laugh like nobody else.

What do you think about my suns?  Check back, cause I'm going to let you download some of these fun designs that I'm working on...a little freebie! Keep an eye out!  jw

I'm purging my scrap room today.  My sister is coming to help me "let go" of things.  This means PRIZES will be in the future...tell your friends to check in this weekend and and stay tuned.  Gotta think of a fun way to gives this stuff away!  Any ideas?

Bonus Project

Bonus_project Just had to share this simple little project from Saturday's class at Just4Keeps...it's created with the Chipboard Alphabetz in my line.  Add some pretty paper (I used Anna Griffin on this one), ribbon, tag and painted chipboard initial--and voila!  A fun thing to package notecards, gifts or treats!  Oh yeah, and this awesome thing holds your chipboard abc's at bay till you're ready to jazz it up!

What a great time in Edmond...

Wow...Holly and I had a super time in OK this last weekend!  We set out Friday evening and chatted ourselves right through that three hour drive.  We stayed the night and vegged out with snacks and watched What Not to Wear...which was a treat for me since we don't have good cable...lol!  I would be a total couch potato if we did--so would my girls!

The next morning we went to one of our favorite places, Mimi's Cafe for brunch.  It was so nice to have a leisurely morning and a great meal.  We had just enough extra time to dash into a store to do some fast shopping.  I LOVE bargains!

Then we headed over to Just 4 Keeps and set up for classes.  I think I some of the most pleasant ladies ever in my classes.  They really have a great thing going on there.  Kathy and Jennifer (the owners) are special gals and their crew of help is top notch!  I knew several of them from the previous trips I'd made to Edmond...but got to meet new friends too!  I FINALLY got to meet my long lost buddy, Kelly Morris.  What a fun girl...we are so much alike!  Found out she, too, is a perfectionist!

Holly was a lifesaver, as usual, helping me with setting up classes.  I am so thankful for her help.  I don't think I could do it alone.

We had a great dinner with Patti and Tanya after we left at PEI WEI--one of our other favorite places to eat!  YUM!  Those girls are a hoot and love to scrapbook!  I love seeing people so excited about scrapping--but I think the funnest part is just getting together and crafting with friends and people that you love.  The hobby is just such a wonderful way to connect--I was telling Holly that on the way home.  I just enjoy meeting people and making new friends so much.  Its so amazing.

Well, I've got to get busy...too much to do today.  Peace out--jw

A little Inspiration...

Well, I had to tape a little thing today for HSN.  There's a possibility they will be featuring my Fanciful collection as a kit in May or June.  So, that was interesting!  Me in my scrap-room, talking to my camera like it cares about scrapbooking!  LOL!  I'm thinking I may just retire from scrapbooking and head to Hollywood!  J/K

While I had the camera out and playing around--I thought I'd show you this. Photocalendarjannawilson_2

Wanna know more about it...well, check this out: I discovered YOU TUBE.  Ooops.:)

Something else I had so much fun with last night...I stayed up playing with this little mini book and then I worked on taxes till 4am.  Yes, I know I'm a nut.

Img_0290_2 This is the souped up version of a project I'm teaching in the Trinketz class in Edmond, Ok next month.  I LOVE this little book.  Perfect gift for Mom's Day.  If you can't make it to class, I may have kits left.  So get in touch with me if you're interested!
