I just loved reading the words of encouragement, antecdotes and advice from all of you...it really is wonderful to know that other women experience the same feelings and are battling through the same trials of life as I am some days. Children are such a blessing, a gift...handle with care.  I will come back to these posts again and again when I'm feeling like I'm the only one!  Truly, I thank each of you so much from the bottom of my heart :)

i just wrote a blog entry and was feeling all warm and fuzzy about my fellow Fiskars comrades...when---

KAPLOOEY!!!!!

It's gone.  That is very...very...annoying. :)

But I will smile and go on...and I will rewrite that post another time...I totally lost my train of thought!

As I was looking at Facebook last night and a few blogs-- of course people were voicing their political views, etc.  I have to tell you...I shy away from politics.  Didn't watch an ounce of it yesterday...but just thinking about what's really important to me in my life right now.  I'm glad there are lots of folks out there who want to change the world...My thinking is...CHANGE starts at HOME.  And that is my focus.  My family...if I can raise these kids an empower them with the knowledge and values that REALLY matter, then I've done my job.  Trust me, I'm no MOTHER OF THE YEAR...in fact I'm pretty strict (but fun, so they tell me ;).  But I know that this is my purpose here and now...and I'm trying hard.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

I've been struggling with a child who is just plain HAPPY!  You say, "what?"  yeah, she's happy.  In her own happy little existence...so blissful in fact, many times-- that she doesn't listen, doesn't follow directions, doesn't obey due to the fact that she's in la la land.  Hmmm?  You know what...she's JUST LIKE ME in so many ways.  Seriously....I'm so happy she's happy, but I am trying so hard to instill some responsibility and accountability into her.  My motto is ..."just do the right thing."  ...you know what the right thing is...YOU KNOW.  So don't you think if everybody in the world just did the right thing, that we would see some serious CHANGE?  I do.  So that's my little, minute contribution on how we might make the world a better place. :)

And that's all I have to say about that. :)  Except that I totally loved Stacey Kingman's blog about RICH GIRL PROBLEMS. I'm totally gonna use that one on my girls!

Now that I've saved the world in no uncertain terms...LOL...on to more scrappy stuff.  So I've got to clean my scraproom today...and I already know that I have THESE to give away:

LOL!  Speaking of...I've still been getting up early...today I kinda slept later --till 7 am.  But I'll get back on the wagon tommorrow...I love having that quiet time in the morning with Scott.  He's such the conversationalist in the a.m...NOT!!! 

And finally- I thought I'd share a pic of my new photograpy studio.  For the low price of $2 (not including camera, flash, mixer or knife set :) I set this up.

 

Two pieces of foam core board (purchased 1/2 price at Michaels--one for the bottom and one for the background), one little nook in the kitchen, bounce the flash off the ceiling...it works great to take photos of your crafty projects with a seamless white background, kinda like a white box.

Hey!  Did anyone notice I now have switchplate covers?  LOL!

HELLO from NEVER NEVER Land...

  If you are one of the 7 people that read my blog and have been wondering where in the world I am...I think I'm here...in Never Never Land...LOL!  I thought if I made it to Friday...I'd be good.  No such luck!  Oh well, I'm still pluggin' away and I'll make it back to reality soon enough.

I've been challenged.  By my 10 year old.  She bet me $5 that I can't get up everyday at 5:30 am, be dressed with make up before I drop the girls at school until Saturday.  Well, Mama has risen to this challenge...and I think everybody is pleasantly surprised!  Except it's hard to keep late hours when you rise so very early.  My eyes are slamming shut at 9:30...dang, I'm tired!

Our little 3 ring circus has been in full swing...lots going on in the past few weeks...our little dude turned TWO on Monday...oh my.  Can you believe it?  I can't.  TWO.  I love this picture...

I took Cash to the park on his birthday...he had SO much fun with the girls.  Scott came by after work...my hard working hubs.

His birthday was pretty low key...just had fun.  He helped me make cupcakes (he picked the Funfetti :), he even cracked and threw an egg in...WHOLE.  yes, I took that one out :)

 

Still can't believe he's TWO.

Meanwhile back in La La Land...or Never Never Land-- I have been designing some Fiskars classes...which I really enjoy because these are very TOOL oriented projects...I love the challenge of creating new techniques with tools...very fun.  A little birdy told me that Fiskars is releasing some TOTALLY AWESOME new punches at CHA...

   

I hope you've already got your hot little hands on the scalloped Punches that were released a while back...oh my...they are adorable.  But now...hold the phone!!! They are doing stamps to coordinate with the scallop punch shapes!!!!!!!!!!  Plus there is a NEW border punch that is simply scallops!  (See below card and on several other below projects).  IT ROCKS!!! My assignments for CHA were to do vintage styled projects using the chic new stamps...here's a peek:

 

Love the white Versamark ink on the beige paper...so elegant!

 

This is Fiskars' new rich pigment ink in gold...very nice.  I call this my Civil War card. ;)

 

Didn't even let my Stickles dry on this one before I snapped this pic ;) LOL!!  The above stamps are new Heidi Grace designs.

It's a page I did with some fun stuff for Fiskars...love that Letters Home line by Kimberly Poloson.  Thanks to Scarlet Lime...I'm all about using beads and buttons and baubles and wire lately.  Just something different and fresh!

Oh, speaking of Scarlet Lime...I LOVE that this months' project kit had a wooden hoop!!! I haven't used mine yet...but here's the layouts I did:

Oh Oh...I gotta show you this.  I'm such a junk hoarder!  I was making cornbread the other night when I realized I was down to my last egg...

 

 

Oh no!  Better add that to the grocery list!  BUT WAIT!!  Wouldn't this plastic egg carton make a perfect...

 

Drawer organizer!!! For beads and gems and loose little thingamabobs!!  Yep!  Sure did!  Love it!  Get yourself a dozen free eggs when you buy this great little organizer! LOL!!

Well, goodness this gab session is going on an hour now...can you tell I've been holed up working my tail off for a while now!  As much as I'd like to stay...I better go.  Must clean up my space to get back to the grindstone!

Oh how I enjoyed reading the resolutions comments from the last post.  Thanks to each of you for taking a moment to drop your thoughts.  I'm a little late in posting the winner from my drawing for a FREE DATES TO REMEMBER calendar download {sorry :)}.  My Sunday night was spent catching up from the last few days and it totally slipped my mind!

Today I'm finishing up some vintage projects...oh, yeah baby!  Right now I'm draped in vintage trims and there are buttons, pearls, baubles and glitter strewn about my work table!  It's scrumptious! 

It's a funny thing...when I was in school I loved drawing houses, designing the landscape, sketching out the interiors of the homes and laying out the furniture...that has sort of evolved into a love of decorating (though I'm really not that great but I'm learning) and dreaming about decorating, doing home improvement projects with Scott and building little houses...yes, I said building little houses. LOL!  The project I'm finishing is something of the sorts.  While I can't share the whole enchilada yet, I will give you a little peeky ;)

 

It's coming along...more on that later.
