So I think my friends and family know that I am snooty when it comes to just a few things...
cookware (this Rachel Ray cookware rocks!!!
wrapping paper (love the thick stuff)
felt (must be wool not acrylic)
and coffee...love my fresh ground beans. Starbucks when I feel like I can spring for it, but I'm happy with Eight O'clock beans just fine for half the price...
Speaking of coffee...
I've been searching for an electric perk coffee pot because Scott and I are convinced that perked coffee is so much better than drip. Aren't we all better when we percolate a bit? LOL! Currently I use a Kitchen Aid drip pot which is a, uh, how do I put this nicely...PIECE-O-JUNK :) I also have an awesome coffee press, but it only makes two cups at a time, and well, that just won't do for everyday.
Anyone out there use an electric perk? Thoughts?
I got a great opportunity to review THIS Farberware brand pot from cookware.com!!! How awesome is that!? I'm so excited! When I get the pot, I'll let you know what I think about this model! And I'll have a little treat to give away as well...so stay tuned!
I'm totally with you on the "snooty" list! :)

Not a coffee drinker, but I like a good retro perculator!!

As a fellow coffee lover - have you tried french press? It's AWESOME - just boil water & pour in with your ground coffee. 5min later, heaven!

I love my percolator. The one I use belonged to my grandmother. We take it with us on vacation so we can be sure to have good coffee.

We are complete coffee snobs, too. David roasts our coffee beans. LOL! When we don't have any on hand, we do Starbucks or a local organic grocer brand. We always grind the beans, never buy them ground. So much better that way!
I'm doing the Cookware.com giveaway and review, too! :D Still have to decide on my item(s). Heehee :)

Oh yes I agree on all of them except i don't know about the coffee since I don't drink it. I'm also a chocolate snob. I hate hersheys chocolate, the swiss rule the chocolate world for me! Enjoy your new year.
Will I see you at CHA?

I'm always trying to clean off my countertops and keep things simpler, but my husband commented last night on the irony that I have a drip maker, an espresso machine, and now, thanks to a generous Christmas present, a Keurig single-cup maker. That doesn't include the french press that lives in a kitchen cupboard. Seriously? Four ways to make coffee? My mom always made perk coffee in a glass coffee pot on the stove. I'm sure it is good.
P.S. I'm also a cookware and wrapping paper snob. Hobby Lobby had incredibly good gift wrap this year, but I usually love the Sally Foster fundraiser wrap.

HA--I am kinda that way about coffee too, so reading that you like the eight-o-clock beans--well, that is what I use too!!! I love them. My mom is a huge coffee drinker and I have her hooked on them too.
