Thanks for stopping in! Today begins our 52 week challenge!
Here's today's page!
So you're not into one photo layouts...don't be blue...try this:
You'll lose a bit of your cool circle but overall still an exciting yet simple page in about 30 minutes!
I didn't do a full out title here...for me...it just didn't need it. You could add that, of course!
It's simple! Just use a nice big circle accent on your layout!!!
(Yes, I think we've established that I love circles, circle punches, circle cutters and well, all things round! LOL! :)
I created the circle on my page with one of my favorite go to tools...the Kreaxions circle cutter. The super kind Deb Michelle (of Just Imagine Crafts) passed this sweet tool to me prior to IU09 last year and I've been in love. Easy, portable, a great tool. I just cut a 7" circle from green cardstock and then cut a 6" circle inside that to create a perfect 1/2" circular frame. Easy! I gave it a little more personality and interest (punching holes around the shape) with the help of my Fiskars 1/8" circle hand punch.
Great products I used are from:
Little yellow Bicycle (they sent me a great box with lots of sweet stuff! THANK YOU!) Pictured below is what I used to make the layout.
I love using these LYB 6" x 12" paper tablets because I rarely use more than a half a sheet of patterned paper anyway! Barely any waste!
Oh...and leave a comment and I'll pick a winner for a few super cool Little Yellow Bicycle goodies!!!
Happy Scrapbooking!
Hey Janna! Love this layout a week challenge! I look forward to checking in here and see whatcha got cookin' up! I played along and got this layout done today.

I didn't use a circle.... created a heart instead. Thanks for the inspo!!!

I,too, have become stuck. Your email was exactly what I needed to get my juices flowing. Thank you for thinking simply!

A 52 week challenge is just what I need. I really do miss scrapbooking as much as I used to so 2010 is going to be different. Unfortunately I don't have a blog to post my pictures though - actually I don't have the ability to post a good picture of a 12 x 12 so the blog doesn't really matter.
Sure would love some goodies from LYB as I am limiting myself on my spending on scrap stuff this year (hopefully)

A 52 week long challenge huh...maybe I'll try and play along too. Luvin' all the circles & LYB stuff is always fabulous-thanks for the chance to win! : ]

What a great layout, Janna! And a fantastic challenge!! I think I am going to do the challenge, but "Digital style". Maybe I can actually get some stuff done this way... one a week should be do-able. Thanks for the inspiration!

Awesome Janna! As usual love the inspiration I find here. Love that circle cutter too. I was just using it today, it's so easy to use and really small to take with you! I am going to make this page tonight!

I'm in! I need a challenge to get me going. I am so behind and most of the time I get out with the girls to scrap I don't have anything really ready to go. I'm going to try and do this at home which will be fun. No packing!

This is such a good idea. I am pretty sure I can scrap one photo a week. I didn't get much scrapbooking done last year, so I really want to get more done this year, especially with a new grandbaby. Love the layout.

Hey Janna!
Glad to see you again! Perfect timimg for your 52 layout challenge... right after making the resolution to reduce my number of unscrapped phots. but not yet finding the right inspiration to get moving toward that goal! I needed "simple" to get back into it, and I hope I can stay inspired for all 52 layouts!

Your challenge is great motivation! I would love to win the awesome goodies!
Posted by: Roberta | January 20, 2010 at 06:33 AM
I am going to try hard to make it happen! I have even collected 12 x 12 plastic baggies so I can collect the paper and other elements and put them in one place to stay organized. Also, I am keeping scraps for future pages so I can recycle and create a series of pages that will have common elements to show they are in the same theme family. I will write the week number on the baggie for reference.
Just trying to get in a "whimsical" state of mind!! You inspire me. Ready, Set, Create!
Hugs,
Fran in NC
