The gals at my LSS (Mim's Scrapbook Spot) gave me a paper pack to make some pages with. They mentioned the stuff wasn't selling that great...but I still can't figure out why! I LOVE it!!! So I guess this weeks pages are brought to you by MIM'S!!! (thanks again, gals)
Here's today's page!
I designed this "TOP TEN" list a few weeks ago, and turned out it was perfect for this color combo as well as this picture of us. It recaps my favorite times from this past year. I printed it on my regular photo paper for a great looking, crisp image and then filled it in with a fine tip Slick Writer (my fave). Do you like it too??? Well, I have plans to make it available to y'all very soon! I'm percolatin' over here! LOL!
Since I had all those pretty papers to play with ...I went ahead and did another simple layout! So that's a TWO-fer this week! YAY! I love this picture of my Grandmother when she was young. I don't have a lot of info on here yet, because I'm not sure of her age at the time. I'll add more later.
You could always replace the horizontal 5 x 7 that I did with two vertical 4 x 6's.
This week I challenge you to try a color or color scheme that is out of the ordinary for you!
Great products I used are from:
My Minds Eye courtesy of Mim's : the papers are from the Andrea Victoria collection --if you're local, you can find a great selection of these at Mim's in downtown Van Buren.
If you want to play along ...you can scraplift my layout or do your own thing! Be sure and add your page to the Flickr photo pool and tag it with week 4 so everyone can enjoy YOUR inspiration too! Stay tuned for next week because I have a FABULOUS prize giveaway!!!!
I love it Janna. Not a colour combo I've ever done but now... I want to try it. Very beautiful. I have a lovely shot of me and my hubbie in the fall...perfect colours.

I love the paper--in fact I think I have some in my stash! Funny you should mention that it reminded you of wedding colors, because those were my colors over 10 years ago!

First I want to say I think those papers are awesome and that they look really cool with black-n-white pics. Second, I love this challenge and just completed and posted my LO today. Thanks for the constant inspiration. I think I am really gettin' my mojo back!! :0)

I was inspired to use the shimmery yellow and green paper that is not my usual thing :

I was inspired by your 2nd layout with the photo of your grandmother. I just happened to have a photo of my grandmother out that I was showing to my sister in law and decided I would create a page similar to yours for her photo. I love how it turned out. I have never made a black-and-white page before and I was able to use several of the vintage style stamps to go with it. I added it to the photo pool and have more details on my blog tomorrow on 2/8 - http://monikastamp.wordpress.com/2010/02/08/vintage-scrapbook-page/
Thanks I'm enjoying playing along with your challenge.
